The International Facility
Management Association has provided the following definition for
facility management:
“A profession that
encompasses multiple disciplines to ensure functionality of the built
environment by integrating people, place, processes and technology”
We at Ganesha have found
facility management a very natural fit for our customers as we have
often played an integral role in the development of the workforce,
thereby familiarizing us with the goals of the organization. It made
sense to adopt the care and responsibility of the physical environment
to sustain a workplace wherein the building occupants are given the
optimal conditions for workplace success to achieve the goals of the
organization. We truly believe that the facility manager has the
highest degree of influence on the overall quality of life within the
facility.
We provide both the hard
and soft service aspects of facility management. The hard services of
facility management include but are not limited to items such as
ensuring that a building’s air conditioning is operating smoothly,
efficiently, reliably, safely and legally. The soft services of
facility management include but are not limited to such things as
ensuring that the building is clean, free of debris, landscaping
maintained, monitoring the performance of any other employed
subcontractors and the like. We currently have several such
agreements underway and are gearing up our facility management team
for several new partnerships.
