Human Resource (HR) Outsourcing

Initially founded as a facilitating organization for the growth and development of manpower systems in Indonesia, PT Ganesha Aggies Jaya has a nearly twenty year history of successfully serving the Indonesian human resources field, including the human resource outsourcing requirements of major corporations, governments, as well as the needs of smaller foreign direct investment (FDI) companies which started to emerge in late 90s. Outsourcing started to emerge in the late 90s in the IT sector, but now spread all over many different fields.  Originally, the thought behind outsourcing is “let us outsource those which we are not good at and concentrate on our core business”. This, in fact, is the core argument which has been popularized by management gurus in the last decade.  Although the debate still continues today of what is and what is not to be outsourced and what to be internalized.

From the organizational side, the fundamental need is to obtain the right employees in time. At some point, business case may demand that you have to outsource, or if you have done so, you may consider enhancing your current human resource outsourcing to enable you to focus on your core business, to provide you with flexibility, and to be adaptable to sudden change in this turbulent global economic climate. With the right partner, any fears you may have of a loss of control with outsourced employees will quickly fall by the wayside.

By the same token, Employees’ interests and the statutory law have to be taken into account; especially in an emerging economy like
Indonesia where the prevailing Labor Law could be quite stringent in protecting workers’ rights. As a newly emerging trend in the late 90s, the idea of human resource outsourcing itself has not received full acceptance among workers as it is perceived to be providing less job security. This perception is worldwide. As recent as October 2008, in the wake of the global economic downturn, even workers in Germany shared the fear that outsourced workers are expendable.

While we fully understand the concern of the employees, actually the Indonesian Law No. 13/ 2003 provided adequate provisions for the protection of the outsourced workers that guarantee equality among regular workers.  When implemented with good corporate governance, outsourcing could become a mutually beneficial both to the employees and to the corporation. We at Ganesha always put compliance to the Indonesian Labor Law as our first priority. Of our main priority in the outsourcing practice is to secure assurance that the legal rights of the outsourced employees are protected. Our past experience since 1990 involving more than 1000 satisfied outsourced employees.

Ganesha’s track record demonstrates scores of past and current clients benefited from the human resource outsourcing implementation provided by us.  When managed properly and when all risks are addressed appropriately, human resource outsourcing can provide your business with timely applications of capable staff to fulfill your needs without sacrificing Employees’ morale and job satisfaction.  You will find that your workforce is nimble, adaptable, and prepared to participate in your organization while at the same time protect employees’ interests and their legal entitlements. If you are new to
Indonesia or have experienced the economic waste inherent in entering a new market without being properly armed with the facts Ganesha is here to help you
